And just like that…it’s February! This may be the year of reversal – last month, we mentioned the unseasonably warm weather, and Mother Earth responded. Let’s be careful, okay? She’s listening! We’d like to think of this past bout of Arctic weather as a poke to remind us of the beautiful cycle of life that we are lucky enough to get to play with in our gardens. Death and dormancy, followed by rebirth and the return of the sun that makes our gardens grow. We can’t wait for those first stems to poke above the soil, and February’s issue will help you get ready for the mad dash once freezes are over. This month, we start a focus on roses that will continue for a few months – pruning, growing, pest control, and selection tips for this most beloved of flowers! We’ll also cover radishes, waiting for the proper soil temp before you plant, and some of our favorite salvias. Ready, set…don’t go just yet!
