Roots for Wings is a City of Lewisville program that encourages residents to convert turf areas to pollinator/native plant gardens.  One program component is the development and maintenance of a demonstration garden recently planted at the Lewisville Animal Shelter.  Our monthly workdays at the garden will be on the first Monday (with the exception of January on 1/8), in conjunction with the Master Naturalists and the Native Plant Society,

In addition, at least 30 minutes of applicable Continuing Education will be provided at each workday.  The topic will be announced on the DCMGA Community page on Facebook in advance of the workday.  In the event of inclement weather for garden chores, we will still meet indoors for the CE portion.

Volunteers should come to the workdays dressed for the weather and with standard gardening gear: gloves, trowel, shovel, pruners, kneeling pad, water bottle, etc.  Any special instructions will be communicated to those signing up on the Signup Genius link.
