Public welcome to this FREE event!

Enter your prized fruit, vegetable, herb, or flower in your garden in a county fair-style competition.

Entries are open to all Denton County residents; up to 10 entries per person. 

Divisions for Adults (19 years+), Youth (under 18), and Master Gardeners.

Keynote Speaker at 10 am

Steven Chamblee, Former Executive Director Longview Arboretum and Nature Center

For over 40 years, Steven L. Chamblee has been immersed in horticulture. He started with his father, later forming Southern Lawn Care. Joining Fort Worth Botanic Garden in 1986, he pursued education, earning degrees in horticulture and public horticulture administration. Chamblee held roles such as Grounds Manager and Education Director, fostering educational programs. He served at Heard Natural Science Museum before returning to Fort Worth Botanic Garden, later leading Chandor Gardens and Longview Arboretum. Chamblee contributes to Neil Sperry’s Garden Magazine, utilizing his vast experience to enhance gardens and community education.
