May Garden Tips

May brings the growth from Spring rain and multiple opportunities to create cooling environments to surround your home. Containers can be vegetable and herb gardens, birds will enjoy a shallow water source, and it’s safe to move out those tropical house plants for a patio vacation. So much rewarding fun in May!

Fire Ants

Recent rains have brought out this scourge just when we are enjoying our gardens during these mild temperatures. Here are some tips for controlling the devilish pests.

Expert Speakers

Need a speaker for your next event? We are passionate about sharing our knowledge. Our mission is to help people understand how easy and fun it is to create healthy gardens, landscapes, and communities. We are delighted to speak to civic groups, neighborhood associations, garden clubs, and other community organizations in Denton County.

Activities for Youth

Want to add a little fascination to your child’s life or classroom? Our Science with Attitude (SWAt) and Global Gardeners curriculum covers horticultural, environmental, and wildlife topics for the school and other educational or community venues. Our partnership with Elm Fork Chapter Texas Master Naturalists, and Denton County 4 -H, make our youth programs unique.
