Native Plant Society of Texas, Trinity Forks Chapter meeting.
The Trinity Forks Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas invites you to our upcoming program, “Pollinator Oases in Urban Native Gardens”. It will be given by Dr. Camelia Maier and Ph.D. candidate Rumpa Mahabub.
Dr. Maier is the Chair of the TWU Bettye Myers Butterfly Garden and Director and Curator of the TWU Herbarium. Her work in helping to restore and preserve ecosystems received the Texas Conservation Award from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
Rumpa’s passion for studying native plants and pollinators translated in her becoming a student garden leader under Dr. Maier’s mentorship and obtaining a NPSOT Ann Gonzalez Research Grant award in 2021for her project entitled Native Plant-Pollinator Interactions in Urban Environments.
