Community Strong Farm Workday

Community Strong Farm is a small farm in Sanger operated by First Refuge Ministries. The harvest from this farm is distributed through First Refuge Ministries’ food pantries in Sanger and Denton. The small farm is just starting and needs education on successfully maintaining edible plants. Their first-year goal is to plant 1 acre of the 14-acre property.

Russ Allen is coordinating the DCMGA volunteer effort at Community Strong Farm. Join Russ and other DCMGA and community volunteers on Mondays, 7-9a, to harvest tomatoes, okra, squash, and zucchini; scale and report weights; thin squash plants; and prepare for a fall veggie garden.
