  • Feb. 2 at 9:00 am - DCMGA Board Meeting at the Extension Office

  • Feb. 3 at 9:30 am - Topiary Meeting at the Extension Office

  • Feb. 7 at 9:30 am - Conference Committee meeting, Health Department conference room (same building as Extension Office)

  • Feb. 9 at 9:00 am - DCGMA Monthly Meeting at the Extension Office.  The general meeting's program will be vegetable gardening, presented by Tom Harpool, Denton County Master Gardener, and well-known as a successful farmer and horticulturist. Learn how Tom gets ready for the planting season!

  • Feb. 11 at 9:00 am - Winter Tree Identification Class, Karen Smith, certified arborist and DCMGA member, will conduct a workshop on winter tree identification.

  • Feb. 16 at 10:00 am - Photography-From Landscape to Close-Up, first session.  The classes are free but registration with Donna Wolfe is required.

  • Feb. 21 at 9:30 am - Conference Committee meeting, Highland Village Community
    Meeting Room, Highland Village City Hall

  • Feb. 24, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm - Advanced Master Composting Class at the Central Fire Station Training Room, 3838 Forums Drive, in Flower Mound

  • Feb. 28 at 9:15 amLISDOLA Workday. Interns are invited to come out to LISDOLA for an Open House/Workday. Interns are encouraged to visit this project as a group and may stay to earn some volunteer work hours.

March 2005

  • Mar. 4-6 - The 2005 Spring Dallas Home & Garden Show at Market Hall. The show hours are: Fri. 2-8pm, Sat. 10am - 8pm and Sun. 11am - 6pm.

  • Mar. 7 at 1:00 pm - Our Gift from Spain: Colonial Farming and Ranching Comes to Texas, an illustrated talk by William W. Dunmire, at the Denton Courthouse-on-the Square Museum

  • Mar. 8 at 9:30 am to 12:30 pm - Butterfly Habitat Certification Class, Fort Worth Botanic Garden Center

  • Mar. 9 - DCMGA Monthly meeting (evening meeting), Sher Harnish, Adaptive Gardening

May 2005

  • May 5-8 - 2005 TMG Advanced Training Seminar, Doral Tesoro Hotel and Golf Club

  • May 14, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, and May 15, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm  - Hood County Garden Tour On Saturday and Sunday the Hood County Master Gardeners will host a Garden Tour.  The tour will feature several Master Gardeners' homes and will provide educational displays on drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting. Save the date; more information will be coming soon
