At the November general meeting, DCMGA members voted to hold an Annual
Awards/Graduation Luncheon, instead of a dinner, as in previous
years. The Luncheon will be Wednesday, January 11, 2006, 11:30 AM, at
the Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound. Awards recipients and
graduates of the Class of 2005 will be recognized and officers for
2006 will be installed.
The luncheon's speaker will be William Adams, co-author of seven
landscaping/gardening related books and contributor to Texas Gardener
and Neil Sperry's magazines. Bill was a favorite speaker at this
year's State Master Gardener Conference. He is writing a new book
with the working title of The Southern Kitchen Garden which will
serve as the topic of his presentation.
The cost of the luncheon will be $19.
Graduating trainees do not pay for their meal, but must contact Donna
Wolfe, Volunteer Coordinator, to make reservations for themselves and
any guests. Anyone planning to attend should send a check to DCMGA,
