Well
Done!
Suzie Cook (Class of 2003), former Roto-Teller Editor, DCMGA Board
Member and "go-to" girl for any problem grammatical, has "retired" to
Rockport. While husband Jim terrorizes the fish in Copano Bay, Suzie
will take on salt water gardening. (Wasn't North Texas challenging
enough?)
Her sidekick, Janie Farler, came up with a recipe we'll all recognize.
Suzie Stew
5 slices keen wit
1 glop of cooperation
2 handfuls absolute conviction
2 shares of dedication
Large chunk of nimble brain
1 copy of The Only Grammar Book You'll Ever Need
1 red pencil
Dollop of astringent
1 slice tongue, sharpened
Small stick of dynamite
3 slugs of unvarnished truth
Measure carefully into tall blonde container and stand back. Stew
will soon begin to simmer. Sample carefully. If too spicy, dilute
with scintillating conversation. When properly prepared, stew will be
tangy, not bitter, with a captivating and altogether unforgettable
flavor.
"Welcome
to Jim Jonish, a transfer to DCMGA from Bell County Master Gardeners."
