North Denton Branch Library
In the
spring of 2003, the North Denton Branch Library contacted the Extension
Office to request assistance with the planting of a new xeriscape garden at the library.
Always anxious to "dig in the dirt," several MGs volunteered to help with the
project.
By early summer the dedicated team had planted Pampas Grass, Texas Sage,
Dwarf Wax Myrtle and Red Yucca. This spring the Library Team will finish planting
the area with lots of water tolerant perennials. Stop by the library
to pick up a Xeriscape gardening book and stroll out to the garden to see
the real thing!
Watch for the xeriscape gardening
classes that Master Gardeners will soon offer at the
library.
