Fairoaks is an independent senior living community located in North Denton.  It is owned by Plano Community of Homes.   The priority is to improve the street appearance. 

There are eight buildings; seven are divided into separate apartments.  The eighth comprises a community center, laundry facilities and offices for staff members.   We are working on the appearance near the entrance and in front of the community center.  We have provided planting material for residents who are able to do their own planting, and we are assisting those who are unable to plant their own garden areas. Our goal is to provide a garden area for each resident who wants one.  We have converted several hard-to-mow areas into garden areas.  The residents' most frequent request was a vegetable garden.   We started the garden in the back of the community two years ago and it has grown from a weed patch with a few struggling vegetables into a large raised garden ready to be planted this year.  We will continue to plant trees this year.  We have planted 14 trees in the last two years with an order for 10 more trees coming in February.  We have included many red bud trees in our plan.
